MA State Tuition Reimbursement Info
Express Program Fund
Companies with full-time Massachusetts employees are eligible for reimbursement for Vivo Group programs through the state's Express Program which is funded through payroll taxes.
*NEW* Starting October 2024
- Companies up to 50 MA employees are eligible for 100% reimbursement
- Companies with 51-100 MA employees are eligible for 50% reimbursement
Fine Print:
- Up to $15,000/year in reimbursements per company per calendar year
- Up to $3,000/employee/course
- Must file all paperwork at least 3 weeks in advance of training

Timeline for Applications
1 Month or more before training starts:
Apply for a COGS (Certificate of Good Standing from the MA Dept of Revenue) from the state APPLY HERE
The COGS takes a couple of days to receive, but it is good for 6 months.
TIP: If you can, ask folks from your financial department to apply for the COGS since they are more likely to have the required information, such as your company's MassTaxConnect account login.

NOTE: Obtaining the COGS has been the most difficult part of the process for our clients. It must be a MA DOR COGS – no others will work. Also small discrepancies such $50 must be resolved to receive it.
3 Weeks or more before training starts:
File your application: APPLY HERE
You will need information including:
- The Course ID (see below for Vivo Group courses)
- List of employees to be trained
- Current # of Employees Working in Massachusetts (Total Includes Full-Time and Part-Time)
- Training Start Date (at least 21 days from application

4 Days before training starts:
Make sure you have signed and returned the Agreement the state has sent you through DocuSign. You MUST sign this agreement in order to receive funding.
TIP: Your signed agreement is good for 24 months in case training is delayed, even into the next calendar year. Therefore, it is to your advantage to apply now!

After training:
Submit your Reimbursement Request along with an invoice and proof you have paid Vivo Group. The state says you will be reimbursed within 30 days.
